The three hundred pound gorilla in the room...
When I started dieting back in April, I was pushing 320 pounds. Today I weighed in at 295. It's been a slow and steady process. I hear thats the way to do it.
My progress so far is largely because of an app on my iPhone called LoseIt. It made me realize just how many calories I was taking in daily.
My goal is 240 pounds, but I get there when I get there. For me there's no rush. These are lifestyle changes, and the creature of habit that I am needs to really let this sink in.
The only bummer is that I just spent a grand on a couple of suits that may not be alterable when I reach my goal, but screw it. My health is more important.
All that being said, let the barbecuing and drinking began. Time to celebrate the day of my birth!
